HAVE a 2003 42open, only use it for fishing, was thinking about taking the swim platform off, is it a big job? does it kill the resale if i go to sell the boat? if so, has anyone reinstalled a swim platform after the fact? any clue what those are worth if i were to sell it? thank you

I don’t believe those are integrated, so should be pretty straightforward removal. Then just a patch job.

For what it’s worth, I’d save it for the next owner. Might be a pain, but you’ll overcome any perceived decrease in value if you can tell the next owner “it’s right here if you want to put it back on.” Far easier than them having to question how to find one if they really want a swim platform.
