As we spend more time aboard, my wife would like a freezer.  We have the side queen front birth.  There is a cabinet door opening into storage below.  I'm thinking I could fit a slide out drawer freezer in that open space.  Since the forward air conditioner would be behind it, there is power and drainage.  Looks like enough space.  Any comments?

We purchased a 2007 Tiara 3600 Open a couple months ago, and would like to install a freezer as well. I will be following this tread to see what others think. What model freezer drawer have you been thinking about? Is it 12volts or 110 volts? We are thinking we need 12 volts as we don’t want to run the generator all the time,

The power lines to the a/c are sized to run the a/c, not the a/c and a freezer. You may end up tripping the breaker for the a/c every time the a/c starts up with the freezer running or vice-versa. The freezer will also kick off heat, adding to the thermal load of the a/c, although I doubt this will be a problem.

Thanks Hiccup, good to know about the power and wiring. This will be a winter design project with a lot of measurements. No decision on the freezer type / model yet. Work in progress but will update. We have the tools and equipment to build or fabricate most anything. I will update any progress.
