My 30 open has twin 330 Cummins QSB 5.9's

Is this normal?  

I can start and stop each engine individually with it's appropriate engine key.

Once both engines are running together, they only shut off together when both keys are turned off.

Turning off one key does not kill that engine until both keys are turned off, then both engines shut down.

I can't turn off one engine by itself after both engines are running.

Does anyone else experience this on their Tiara?  Are my ignition switches wired wrong?

Sounds like a wiring error. Do you have an engine room fire extinguisher system? That should be wired to shut off both engines in the event of a fire so that your extinguishing agent is not inhaled and consumed by the diesels. Perhaps the error is in this circuit. Sounds like you need a GOOD tech that knows his stuff, not just a 12 volt man.  Capt. George

Thanks for the insight to the fire system.  I will report back next week when I get to work on this.
