2001 Tiara 3100 Open.  Looking for suggestions on changing the vinyl on helm seats and bolsters.  Researched a few things and looks like 29oz material is best.  Is Naugahyde best product to use.  Looking for a white or light cream color to replace original.  Looking for good quality material to use that will hold up.

Any referrals in the Annapolis, Md area.

Not sure if local guys will let me buy the vinyl on-line and ask them to repair but will try.  There are several companies on-line selling the materials and provide samples.  Has anyone completed a change over on a 3100.  Any thoughts on cost for the job with materials in Annapolis area.

I changed out the Bolsters on my 98 31 open a couple years ago.  They were easy to remove, just a few bolts under the combing.  Took them to a local auto - marine upholsterer.  About $500 if i recall. They had all the samples and types of vinyl appropriate for the exterior use.  

Haven't changed out the settees or helm. You might try Magic Erasers, they work miracles on cleaning them up.  Once i used them and went over again with a good vinyl polish (Starbrite makes one) they look like new.

I'm in Chicago, so no help on local shops, but I'm sure there's one out there.

I'm a stickler for upholstery to either look original, or to remove and replace all of it in a style you like.

Tiara used a very specific color and grain pattern. Most marine upholstery shops should be able to match/locate it.

Tiara also uses French Stitching. This produces a triple stitch that is strong and aesthetically pleasing. It makes a world of difference in look over a regular seem stitch.

Keep in mind that keeping it as close to factory as possible will command better resale value when the time comes.

I had new bolsters made, a new helm seat cover and rear canvas on my 2004 3100 Open. I had the work done at the canvas shop at Herrington Harbor North in Tracy Landing, Md just south of Annapolis. Looks like original. Wasn't cheap though!

I can also vouch for canvas connection at Herrington Harbour north. They do good work but they aren't cheap. There is also a shop in deale near the hardware store but I can't remember the name nor have I used them. Finally there's a place called Atlantic custom canvas in Baltimore. They gave me a cheaper quote for the work I needed but I decided to use canvas connection due to convenience and good reputation
