Similar to the other thread, I'm replacing my head unit with a fusion brand. Does anyone know where the factory amp is located? It may not be that there is a factory amp, but this system has one, may have been done by the previous owner. Any ideas?
I'll look on Saturday. I forget, but it's really obvious. Maybe in the starboard storage area under the bed. I also replaced mine with a Fusion and it was simple. Actually I didn't need to touch the amp. The speakers were already wired to it. Just connect the RCA plugs from the original Clarion unit to the Fusion head unit and you should be good to go.
I'll check there this weekend. So my problem is that there was only 1 pair of L/R RCA cables attached to the OEM clarion unit. When I attach those to the Fusion headunit I only get sound from the rear speakers. Do you recall if yours had 2 sets of RCA cables going from the clarion to the amp?
Well the amp is where I mentioned. In the starboard storage compartment under the bed. Mine is only a two channel amp with four speakers wired up. The RCA jacks are plugged into Zone 1 on my Fusion RA70. Since all 4 speakers are in the cockpit this really doesn't matter. Check the wiring on the amp. If it's two channel, like mine, all 4 speakers should be wired in parallel (2 rights & 2 lefts). Otherwise there should be another set of RCA cables.

Thank you! Will be on the boat Monday, so should be able to sort this out.
