Hi,
I'm new to this forum and have enjoyed reading all the posts.
The 3600 Open that I'm surveying at the end of the week does not have a windlass and according to Tiara none was ordered during the build. Nor are there power cables in or around the anchor locker. My question is what are other 3600 open owners using?
The locker has a cutout for the chain and rode to enter the anchor locker. This opening is approx 4" to starboard from a straight line down the middle of the anchor/chain drop off.
Are there any 1996 3600 open owners out there that can tell me what windlass they are currently using?
My 36 is a little older than yours, but it came from the factory with a Maxwell windless. I can lookup the exact model if you need me to. I am pretty sure I still have the original documentation.

Thanks, Misdirection That would be a big help!
Also, If you could take a picture of the Maxwell and the anchor locker together it may answer a few questions that I have.
I'll see if I have the model information down stairs and if I have a photo of the bow. If not, my boat is 2 hours away in winter storage, so I wont be up to see it until April.
Misdirection, does your rode/chain feed directly into the anchor locker? The boat I'm looking at has a little channel between the anchor locker hatch and the anchor locker where the rode would fall into, wish I'd had taken a picture.
Most of the windlass I see needs to have a hole cut in the deck for the rode to fall into.
