I have a 2003 Tiara 4000 Express that is in pristine condition.  I recently discovered that the port bow has wet core.  I sucked about 4 gallons of water out of it last weekend.  Additionally the front half of the port side is delaminated from the core but I don’t believe there is any wet core in those areas.  Anyone have a similar problem?  Boat yard says they need to cut and remove the outer hull and replace core and address delaminated sections that are not wet. Looking for help on this if anyone has had a similar problem.

If it is delaminated then it is almost certainly wet. Unfortunately, this can turn into a can of worms and you likely will not know what you're in for until they start opening it up. Good luck.

Thanks for commenting. Much of the delamination is in sections of the hull where I know the core is dry. I have no idea how this can happen unless the original lay up was defective. Can’t explain it.

If it is delaminated, I would bet 100:1 it is either currently wet or was wet at one point. There is a company called 'Dry Boat' that dries wet coring by forcing air through the wet core. Of course it won't fix any delamination. Perhaps it was wet but dried by that process.
