33 open battery parallel button
#1
Looking for information on using the battery Parallel button on the dash.
If my starboard battery is dead... do I just push the button to use the other battery?

Do I hold the button in?

I never had this before... usually used a selector switch.

This boat is new to me.. and learning as I go..

Thanks

The parallel switch on the dash operates a solenoid that connects the two starting batteries in parallel. So yes you hold the swich while you turn the key to the start position. Its a good idea to exercise it once in a while to ensure proper working order.
