If the exhaust is either designed wrong or the internals of the exhaust shower has corroded, it is easy to get salt water to feed back into the turbo charger and then inside the exhaust and past the rings to the oil. Best place to ask such a question about this would be boatdiesel.com or sbmar.com. Try to get Tony Athens to respond on boatdiesel.com or call him and ask at sbmar.com which is his company. He will ask for photos all around the engine and alot of histroy but he will get to the bottom of the problem I guarantee it. He is an expert on Cummins and has helped many many people solve problem very similar if not exactly like this. $25 to join boatdiesel.com and well worth the investment for a full year of use. You will not be sorry to do as I recommend above. You will get many many answers which will save you time and eventually lots of money.
