First step is the check the pins on the back of the gauge with a voltmeter. Just pull the dash back to access. the volt gauges are easy. The wires at the top are for the backlighting, the two on the bottom are positive and negative. If you have voltage on the back then the gauges are bust, otherwise you need to keep tracing the wires back to find the problem. Many times its a grounding problem.
