I "hear" some operation when I press the switches for the tables (frozen?) and engine hatch and my trunk works fine.
Good morning. 2001 4000 Express owner here. Had a lot of trouble getting tables to raise. Lubed the heck out of them, troubleshot them, but no progress.
On my boat, it appears that that the cockpit hatch hydraulics raises a half-inch or so & will not stay in a totally "down" position. To raise tables, touch the switch to TOTALLY lower the cockpit hatch, then have someone put a finger under a corner of the table halves where they come together to give them a "start". Have someone else then raise one table at a time. May need to repeat the finger lift on the remaining side. Be careful!
Not sure how to address the trunk hatch, except to mention that the breaker panel lower & to the right of the helm contains a fuse for that. Mine was very corroded, as was the power to that entire breaker panel.
Good luck!
