I have a 1986 Tiara Flybridge. This problem hasnt happened to me but I was just wondering about it. Its probably a stupid question with an easy answer but Ill ask it here anyways. What happens when you are on a mooring and you are using your house batteries and you use up all the power in the batteries and cannot lift the electric engine hatch to switch the batteries over? The only answer that I could think of is to bring the electric cord with you when you leave for the island and bring my little generator to plug the boat in and switch to shore power to lift the hatch or cut an access hole and install another cover in the engine hatch so you can access the battery switch and change to starter batteries. Anyone have any other ideas? Will the engine hatch lift manually?
