I own a 2003 38 Open and can't say enough about the boat and the Cummins 6CTA Diamond 450's... They have never failed me and are esay to maintain. Yearly Filter changes and fluid changes (Oil, fuel, etc)... Have put more than 1500 hours on the engines over the last 22 years and they have been rock solid.... Change raw water impellers semi-annually (not required as removed impellers look excellant and not worn). Clean aftercoolers every 3-4 years and again relatively easy to do... The boat performs well as well cruising at 2200 RPM/23 knots with fuel usage around 26 gph.... M2C
