Hydraulics information
#4
A boat is a never ending source of learning. As stated before,I found the pump, valves(4) and manifold only held together by rust alone. After 20yrs or so with the parts living in the aft bilge I am not complaining. There are no snow plow dealers in So. F . so I spent over $2500 in replacement parts since the originals are no longer made. Unfortunately, after hooking up the multitude of parts, the on,off switches no longer were hooked up properly. Tiara finally came through with a schematic and it all worked, but then all the hoses were blowing. The culprit was a pressure switch (unmarked) on the pump itself which needed to be reset to lower the pressure so hoses won't be over-pressurized. Quite a learning experience !
