Athem - Which model Tiara do you captain?  We dock in the Clearwater, municipal marina by coachman park.  We are on A dock which is directly on the intercoastal with amazing sunset positioning, we leased the slip 3 months prior to finding the boat.

I've heard all the good voices about the cable master, and am not going to decommission it, our cable has an odd twist in it, which is making the system struggle on retrieval.  The reality is in the short term, I can go in the engine room and help the system correctly align the cable in the tub.  That can't be more work than manually coiling a 50 foot 50 amp line.

Again, I'm glad I joined this forum for the good and sound advice which I receive.

We have a 2002 38 Open with 6CTA's.  great boat!  We are thinking about a "road trip" up to Clearwater, Honeymoon Island, etc.  Don't get up to that area much.  We usually go south.  Sarasota, Venice, Boca Grande, etc.  On the Cable Master issue....I had a friend who had a 48 Viking...his 50 amp cord had some unusual twists to it. I think he had to "push it' into the hole.  It was'nt an issue during the summer when the cord was warm...it became an issue when the Temp dropped into the 40's and 30's in the fall.  I don't know how the cord became so disfigured. Shoving it into the hole is still better than coiling and carrying a 50' 50 amp cord.
