I owned a 1997 31 open and on each side of the helm station there were knobs that needed to be removed to tilt the helm station for access to the rear..... I now own a 2003 38 Open and the helm station is held in place by hidden rubber hold downs. To tilt you need to exert quite a bit of force by pulling on the helm station to allow it to tilt... I use the shift and throttle handles and pull.. As I said it takes quite a bit of force..... Assume you have one or the other on your 29.
