The manual for the 2005 Tiara 2900 that I just bought says that there are two knobs on either side of the helm alongside the engine gauges which when pulled or unscrewed will allow the helm to swing back exposing the instrument fittings etc. No such knobs exist. A search of this site seems to indicate that one reaches back to the front part of the helm and pulls up on the lip. I tried that but without a lot of pressure because I did not want to break something. Appreciate anyones thoughts on this.

I owned a 1997 31 open and on each side of the helm station there were knobs that needed to be removed to tilt the helm station for access to the  rear..... I now own a 2003 38 Open and the helm station is held in place by hidden rubber hold downs. To tilt you need to exert quite a bit of force by pulling on the helm station to allow it to tilt... I use the shift and throttle handles and pull.. As I said it takes quite a bit of force..... Assume you have one or the other on your 29.
