I have a 2002. They are great boats. You are getting good advice on the 450's, and they are absolutely the engines to get. A membership to Boatdiesel.com is worth every penny. Water pump service and after cooler service are critical. So much so that I added some exhaust temp alarms to let me know early about a pump failure. It already saved me once.
I wouldn't change much about the boat. Convert the closet next to the galley to a pantry. The head in the aft cabin will only get used in case of emergency. Camper canvas in back is also very nice for pasty people like me.
If you haven't zeroed in on one yet look at http://www.tiaraownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2927 I friend of mine liked mine so much he went shopping and saw this one. He said it was as nice as it looked, but decided to look for some thing newer. The owner seems like a good guy, I let him know that I ripped off his pantry design. - Pete
