What issues are you having that require replacement?
I had two 16K split gas units serving my helm (wife likes it cool). One of the condensing units catrastrophically failed resulting in sea water entering the gas loop. The whose system except the blower fan and thermostat was junk.
Instead of paying the extra $ for a new split gas unit I went with a dometic marine air 16k self contained unit. Slid right into the same footprint as the old evaporator core, is nice and quiet, came pre-charged, was easy to install and about 1/4 the price. if you go the route of self contained I would recommend placing the power/control module in the bilge somewhere as the compressor relays have an annoyingly loud click when engaging.
