Hi, I have seen a few posts on how to tilt the helm console with friction latches. My issue is that the helm console bounces an inch or so when going through chop/waves. I feel like the friction latches haven't fully engaged or closed properly. Is there any special technique to closing and securing the helm console? Or is it normal for it to bounce? Boat is new to me so appreciate any feedback. 2007 Tiara 3000. Thanks.
