I just had my new to me 2006 3200 sandblasted to remove all the old paint and much to my surprise uncovered hundreds or possibly thousands of small 1/8-1/4 inch blisters near the waterline and and 24 3/4 inch blisters across the transom. I called tiara asking why this could happen because I thought with there use of vinylester resins that blisters would not be a problem. They were not much help saying that the boat left the factory without a barrier coat and only bottom paint and who knows what the previous two owners did with it. It has only been in lake Erie and Lake Michigan and always in heated storage for the winter. My plan is to open up all blisters and allow to dry for a couple of months then use the interlux system of epiglass followed by watertite filler and finally four coats of interprotect 2000. All of this after I just spent almost 10k to repair the severely rotted hardtop due to improper initial mounting of the open array radar. At least I knew about the top before taking ownership. The blisters were not noted on the survey so that came as a total surprise. Sorry for rant!
What I would like to know has anyone else had a issue with blisters on there tiara or pursuit and what did they do to address them. Thanks for any help or advise on how to deal with this issue.
