Hi all - Just closed on a 3100 open and trying to dry out the bilge. The lip on the scupper drains in the transom are about 1/2", so before the cockpit drains some water seems to flow over the lip of the 2 cockpit hatches and into the bilge. I'm I not seeing something here or is that just what happening when you wash down the cockpit. I'm considering installing a couple of stainless surface drains in front f the scuppers.
Thanks for the help!I had the same issue on my 94 31' open - i mixed a pot of resin and poured it into the 'well' in front of the scuppers and painted it to match the deck color. Viola! the water drains right out and the corner drys out nicely. Just be cautious to not overfill and overflow into the scupper itself. I build a small plastic 'dam' to keep the resin at the right level an no overflow.
