Hello!
I am a new boat owner, have a 1988 Tiara 2700 that I have been repairing for the last 8 months and its going well.  Last week we had a bit of a rough ride for an hour in some large wind swell off Huntington Beach, CA.  The usual screws loosened, my bilge pump hose sprung a small leak and things got wet.  BUT what is concerning is that the floor of the cabin is still damp. I would have thought it would have dried up after a week in the hot sun. Wondering if water gets beneath the floor somehow.  This area is totally separate from the motors compartment/bilge right?  I dont see a hatch or an opening to the area in the cabin.   Any suggestions or feedback is very much appreciated. ?  -Max

I believe you have a cored wood floor.  Depends on how wet you got it.  Carpet down?  That would help keep moister in.  
Go check all floor hatches and make sure your not getting water in from them in any way too

If your floor is wet in the galley, it might be your ice maker, if you have one. I’ve had that happen twice and finally just disconnected it from the water line.

Are any of your portlights leaking / damp around them? I had one that the fabric was damp around and my carpet was wet. It was running down the liner to the floor causing it to be damp. Rebedded all of my portlights and my problem went away. When the floor got wet, it would stay that way for a week unless I dried it with a towel and put a fan on it. Pain in the backside until I tracked down the leak. Only happened when I was in rough water or it would rain really hard.

Thank you all ... great suggestions. I do have a carpet. Disconneting the ice maker is a great suggestion I believe I have that problem as well. ?

I have had big seas over the bow that flooded and filled the anchor locker so that it overflowed and flooded the cabin floor.
Check the drain in the anchor locker.

In addition to checking the anchor locker drain, remove the dinette table and stanchion. This should enable you to view into the forward bilge. If you see water, use a hand pump to remove. My 1988 27 Open would need to be drained once a season. Bob

I had major water issue under cabin floor that took me months to pin point cause.

My issue involved very small cracks in the glass between the plastic drain housing and the inside of the anchor line storage bin.

Recommend cleaning and inspecting with flash light from inside anchor line storage area.

I reglassed mine and I am all good.

One other note is my marinia has wood chips for landscaping and the moving people always spray my boat with debris. This would clog my anchor drainage so the entire well would fill with water.
This water also makes it into the cabin area...under the floor...can drive you insane.

Fix-I have wedged a piece of a bobber into the open/half moon drain area on the hatch to stop all large debris from entering the well. A custom cut piece of pool noodle would also work.

You must stop large debris from entering and check your well drains often to ensure there is no clogging.

Here is pic of my “stop big stuff” from enter anchor well to prevent clogging cabin flooding (Which I have had).  Another issue is that the subfloor stringers are not connected for draining so it takes forever to dry properly.  Suggest using mold stop spray for wet areas...  Hope you are dry.

Yes it is a bobber with some good weight
