We are new owners of a 2009 Tiara Sovran , I am a bit confused on the charging system . When you are underway and the boat engines are running is it okay to turn off the battery charger breaker ? Will the engines then be the source of charging for the batteries ?
OR when running the engines AND the generator can the battery charger be switched off ?
OR If I just leave the breaker switch on ( charger breaker ) will the system just automatically know what to do ?
Thanks to anyone willing to tell me what they do with their system.
My charger breaker never gets turned off. Regardless if I'm underway (motors only, or with genny running) or on the hard. The batteries will call for charge when they need it.

I agree with Misdirection as I never turn off the charger breakers whether at the dock plugged in, underway with or without the generator running.. The system is designed to account for these configurations
