Good evening, looking to see if I can get some feedback or recommendations for new electronics I am considering for my new Sovran 45 with Volvo IPS600's
Current Setup
2- 7212 Garmin chartplotters
Garmin AP with GHC10 controller
Garmin GMI10
Clarion Radio
24" Array HD radar
I mostly enjoy cruising, bahamas, ICW, Keys, etc with occasional fishing. So I was thinking of the following
1-1243xsv chartplotter
1-1243 chartplotter........could feed off the xsv for sonar
1=Garmin Reactor 40 Steer by wire AP with a GHC50 controller
1-Fusion RA770 Stereo
My questions are the following.
1. Is the 1243xsv built in sonar sufficient for what I am currently doing or am i better off going with a GSD26 remote sounder and a new transducer
2. Should I add a new transducer regardless of the sonar I get.
3. Am I better off with the 8612 chartplotters is the extra $1000 ea worth it, again being that this is a cruiser and not so much for fishing.
Any help on me making a decision would be greatly appreciated..
By the way keeping the same array radar....it should be enough.
Thanks,
Luis
