Tiara 32 open 2004
Where is the drain plug?
Is it opened from inside bilge?
Had boat winterized and some water is left in the bilge.
Boat is angled back toward stern.
Saw something that looked like a plug close to keel at rear.
Advice please.
I would like to drain the residual water.
The 32 should have a T-handled drain plug as described above. It is likely made out of Brass. As described, it should be aft just off center near the rear bilge pump. Make sure you reinstall it prior to launching the boat or you can imagine the consequences. If for some reason you are unable to locate it, you may have to resort to a hand bilge pump or a Wet Canister Vacuum (Warning!!!!!!!!! - The Vacuum either needs to be ignition protected, or you need to have a long enough hose to keep the Vacuum up on deck while you vacuum the water out). The Wet Vacs are only good for a limited amount of water (the last little bit the bilge pump can get). If you have a lot of water, you are going to need a bilge pump (Hand Pumps are usually able to get the water level down to just a few centimeters, whereas the electric bilge pumps can leave up to an inch of water in the bilge.
Does anyone know where the bottom drain for 29ft Tiara 95-97 sorry I can’t give more info kind of in shock still at what we just found when we went to check on our boat after we had it winterized and the bilge and cabin has standing water running halfway across the floor in cabin, seems like company that did the winterizing didn’t pull the plug, has anyone had anything like this happen and what course of action did they take please thanks
