Greetings,
Most likely purchasing a 1988 31 Open with Cummins 6bta 315 Diamond Edition engines. Looking to see if anyone knows what I should expect for speed and fuel consumption at cruise, etc?

I think you'd get about 1mpg at cruise.

1988 or 1998? In 1988, Tiara never offered the B-Series Cummins in the pre 1992.5 model year (the 1992.5 model year was a completely new boat from the keel up and has a higher engine room deck to accommodate taller engines) due to the height of the engine room deck. If someone did managed to get them in a 1988 model, I would be curious to see what modifications were made to squeeze them in. Especially of interest would be adequate height from the exhaust discharge at the Turbo to the waterline. The other issue to overcome would be adequate air flow in the engine room to feed the diesels. Hmmm. Interesting.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. She is a 1988, and was re-powered in 1994 with said engines.
