how to you open the to pull out the basket? I have the Groco ARG series straines circa 2006 on my 3600 Sovran. I dont see an easy way to open them to clean them out. Is there a special wrench?? Thanks in advance.

You need a Spanner Wrench. (Groco Wrench Spanner/Deck Plate GRO-SW2531). Try West Marine or E-Bay. About $15-20. Capt. George

You will easily see how to use the wrench. You may want to shut off the water suppy to the strainer before opening the cap.
