I have a 1990 36 Open and want to raise the bimini top a little off the windshield and add isinglass between the top windshield frame and the isinglass. I have noticed that all that are set up this way have a black plastic flange or lip that is attached to the top of the windshield, and is leaned forward attaching the isinglass panel. Anyone know what to call this or where I can find that piece?

Dont know where to buy one but I made mine out of king starboard.

Thanks Tom! I copied and saved your image and will forward to Tiara CS to see if they carry the Visor or if it's something I have to get from an upholsterer.

Speedyg above was correct, it is made out of starboard. I looked mine this weekend quickly and looks like black starboard or similar to me.

I've been calling that the "brow" but "visor" sounds better!  When I installed my hardtop I fabricated it myself.  I did this using a 10" rotary chop saw.  Below are photos of the templating I did.  I got the material from Tiara when I got my hardtop.  I suspect they can send you some.  It appears to be something similar to black King Starboard.  Tiara did a nice job radiusing the corners, so I didn't have to set up a router to do that.  A word of caution:  the plastic expands significantly in the heat.  I drilled and tapped my windshield to fit holes in my pieces when the pieces were in some very hot sun.  They are black and I suppose they were above 100F.  Later, went to install them at night when the pieces had cooled off and the screw holes were off nearly 1/8" at the end of the piece.  Use black caulk underneath and between the pieces.

Here is a shot of the templating I did with cardboard.  The tricky thing is that you need to cut the pieces at an angle to each other as shown (in addition to the angle that you would see looking directly from the top).

Thanks to to all for the replies. I spoke with Tiara and it's not something they are able to provide any longer. So it looks like I'll just have to make it on my own out of Starboard.

Honestly it's not much more work because all they really gave you were the raw pieces of Starboard lumber.   You still had to cut it yourself carefully.

[Thanks for the pics. I'm going to do the same an make me some foam templates with all the correct angles first. That a pretty good looking hard top you have. I'd like to have to eventually have one of those too. Did you get that from Tiara?
