Replaced our mattress last year with foam from The Foam Factory in Macomb Township in Michigan. Took the old mattress with the cover on it to them and they duplicated it. They showed us many options and firmness. Make sure you try them out by laying on them right at the store. We are very satisfied with the finished product. Foam is expensive so be ready for sticker shock. Was under 500.00 for the job.

Kurts 52,  I spoke to the representative of a boat mattress company at the Annapolis Boat Show.  He said the cost would be around $2500.  Seems like you got a heck of a deal.  I will see if we have a similar company in our area.  Thanks again for the info.  Enjoy your new bed.

Had that same quote from a boat mattress company, that's why I found out about the foam. That's all they are anyway. Some foam is also mold and mildew resistant.

Had that same quote from a boat mattress company, that's why I found out about the foam. That's all they are anyway. Some foam is also mold and mildew resistant.

Actually slept probably 25 times on it last summer never had a bad nights sleep. Just make sure you get the right density

I bought a space foam mattress pad at costco 3"thick cut it to size with an electric knife. I covered both with a Tiara mattress cover from their store and the end result sleeps great for less than a new mattress. I bought the Tiara sheets also

The sheets at the Tiara collection and the mattress pad we expensive about $400 but the mattress pad covered the oem bed with the 3" space foam pad I added (from Costco) gave the project a finished look. both the cover and sheets were of high quality and fit perfect.
Now I just sink into that bed and sleep like a rock

Great thread. I just ordered the 4" Costco memory foam mattress and custom cut it to my forward berth dimensions.

I'll report back after a giving it a try. First impressions are that it is too soft, but maybe I'm wrong.

Sounds like you will replace the OEM unit entirely, and you can still use the bed spread. Thanks for responding. I need new spread, pillows , etc. also.
