The port side of my engine room hatch lift won't raise and doesn't make any noise. Not sure if actuator is stuck or there's an electrical issue. Any suggestion on how I can raise the hatch to have access to the actuator.

What boat do you have? I have a 2000 Tiara 3500 and under the helm there are 2 relays that control the power for the lifts. Mine occasionally have to be replaced. They are automotive relays. I have the schematics which helped me find them (of course you have to know how to read schematics). On my boat they are located again behind the helm of the far starboard side way down at the bottom, have to almost crawl behind the helm to get to them. If they have burned out (got dirty or oxidized) the lift will not work. One side will, other side will not. This would be my first guess, pretty common issue.

I have a 31 Open, I appreciate the response and will look for the relays

Just had this issue repaired on my 1988 3100 Open, switch for lift was bad, Tiara has the part still, was an 8 terminal switch

One of the things I miss most about my 43 Open. Wish my Coupe had the same set up!
