If your light is an ACR, contact them about refurbishing it.  They did mine about 9 years ago, and I have not had any issues since.

I painted my ACR with Awlgrip. wiped it down with lacquer thinner, scuffed it with a scotchbrite pad and sprayed it. looks like new. If your finish is peeling however that may require some extra prep work to get a decent finish. Either that or send it in to ACR as suggested above. Good luck

My ACR paint was peeling around the base. From an aluminum body and stainless steel screws. I took it apart, stripped the case, then had it powder coated. Remounted with the screws swimming in dielectric grease. 10 years later and it still looks brand new.
