I own a 2003 38 Open w/Ocean Air screens in the cabin (in Salon, Head, & Master stateroom) and have adjusted/removed them for maintenance.... You can go their WEB site ([Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] ).. Pick your unit and download the parts/installation manual... Hope this helps....
If yours are not made by OceanAir but are made by Bomar, there are 4 small cover on the corners that flip down and these attach the screen to the top. Once removed, you will then notice from underneath you can service the rollers as needed. You can also check the Bomar website to check for schematics like mentioned above. One of these post should help removing and servicing the unit I would think.
