Garmin International today announced that Tiara Yachts, a division of S2 Yachts Inc., selected Garmin to be an electronics supplier to outfit its line of luxury fishing and cruising yachts.

The new OEM partnership is being announced in conjunction with this week's Miami International Boat Show, where Tiara's 4800 Convertible - featuring a unique electronics package with three Garmin GPSMAP 7200 series multifunction displays - will be on display for the first time.

"Garmin is pleased to be selected by a quality builder such as Tiara," said Engelhard Sundoro, Garmin director of marine OEM sales and marketing, in a statement. "This transaction further strengthens Garmin's growing position as a leading marine electronics supplier and we're confident that Tiara customers will benefit from Garmin's award-winning designs, industry innovations and worldwide support network."

Finally a builder that has gotten away from that Raymarine line. I have a shop full of failed Raymarine stuff. I admit there is lots of it out there. Their VHF is really bad. I have no Garmin and one Furuno unit on the heap. Capt. George
