On my 36 the previous owner took two pieces of teak, maybe 2" x 4" and beveled the outside edge, drilled pilot holes and screwed them on thru the ceiling panel, I'm assuming to address a sagging issue. It blends right into the boat.
If I ever need to address a sagging, I think I would install teak rod holders on the ceiling panel. That way I'd solve two problems at once.
Just make sure your screws don't go all the way thru the fiberglass!
