New to this forum. Original owner of '05 Tiara 20 ft Coronet with 5.7 Crusaders with over 1800 hours. Curious how many hours may be the max on well maintained gas engines used in salt water before re-power. I know valve job may be necessary after about 1800 hours but will engines last over 2500 hours.

I can't speak to the 5.7, but on my Crusader 7.4's, I've got 4225 and 4227 respectively on them. Had a valve job some time ago. These are fresh water motors that are raw water cooled. But if you maintain them, they will last.
