I don't think it is a terrible job getting the platform off. May have some hard to reach bolts and the holes need to be glassed along with possibly some gel coat touch up. I would think someone would be interested in buying.

I really like netting fish from my platform it's very stable and low to the waterline. Only time it's a hassle is trying to use the chute rigger but that's the last line to ever go out on my boat and often won't get used at all. If you end up removing it I would keep it around the resale would likely be higher with it than without as alot of buyers want those model boats because of the large platform.

I don't go out there for the smaller fish only the big kings and I always have someone at the helm that knows how to put the boat in neutral if I ever did fall in. Honestly haven't even had a close call. I do wear rubber boots if it's cold or crocs in the summer.

Also I made a cover for my swim ladder hatch that protects the fiberglass from the chute rigger ball and cable.

I fish my boat pretty hard and find the dive platform to be an asset. We usually try and gaff from the side of the boat but some larger fish are easier to come straight off the back, over the platform and through the transom door. It also helps in reviving salfish for release. Nobody Is hanging over the side liable to fall in.

I'll try to get some in the next day or two. It's made from cutting board material and is basically clamped onto the hatch with bolts going through the handhold slots.

Here are some pics.

Actually give me your number and I'll send you some pics. This server will not allow attachments large enough to send a decent photo.
