Hello all. Figured I would reach out on this forum to see if I could get any feedback or insight into a possible purchase of a 2002 38 tiara open with Cummins engines. I am getting ready to put pull the trigger on one I found in Hampton va. 577 hours total. Decent shape needs some Tlc and updating. Anything I should be aware of? Issues concerns comments good or bad will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Frank
Frank,
I don't know about the 38 but I can tell you the Tiara is a great boat. I have a 41 open and absolutely love it. Good open water boat and built like a tank. If it surveys out well you will not be unhappy with it.

I own a 2003 38 Open w/Cummin's and am more than pleased with the boat. It's performance is superb and takes sea's quite well. Running at 2200 RPM the boat is making 24 knots at 28 GPH... Have owned the boat since 2007 and have never regretted the purchase. I previously owned a 1997 31 Open w/454 FI Crusaders and it was a great boat as well but the 38 runs circles around the 31... Great choice.... Good Luck.. BTW we travel extensively from our home port on Long Island sound north to Canada several times, east to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, to Boston and points north. Our southern trips have taken us down the NJ coast to Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. Boat been perfect for us..
