Can anyone provide help on changing out the upper salon (helm area) headliner in my 2004 52 sovran salon. The headliner is drooping like a parachute. I understand that many boats of this model have similar problems particularly if in hot environments. I saw another 2006 model with the same issue. The boat was a Florida boat most of its life. The headliner is made of Whisper Wall mounted in a track system. The perimeter edges though are only stapled to a furring strip which is odd. Tiara could not offer any help. I can't seem to find anyone including Tiara dealers in the mid or upper Chesapeake Bay that feel comfortable tackling this repair. Has anyone DIY or had the headliner changed out? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm fairly certain that the headliner is not foam backed in the upper salon. It the headliner supposed to look like this or is it to be tight and flat as the interior headliner? I would think tight and flat as there are indirect string lights installed behind the perimeter molding as in the interior. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. This was a #1 to address when we purchased the boat last Spring. The boat rides beautifully. Looking forward to some NE coastal cruising next year. MIke

Mike, where is your boat located ?
Hello, if your boat is in the chesapeake bay i would highly recomend calling Christine Roney. She fixed my last Tiara and did an amazing job!
Please keep this post updated. I have a contract on a 2003 50' Open (supposedly only 7 were ever made) and the master stateroom headliner is hanging as well as the side liner pieces.. There doesn't seem to be any type of backer board behind this one either.
I also own a 2000 41' Open and all the headliners in it have a backer board. I dont know if Tiara used backers on some and not others but I don't get not using it.

Thanks for the tip. In the 2004, the upper interior cockpit is whisper wall only with n o backer. Inside the v-berth walls and galley have foam backed vinyl that I am also contemplating replacing. The interior headliner seems to be on a backer board but I don't know if it just is material wrapped around the backer.
