My 3100 pursuit has 1 gas tank-270 gallons.
I normally run boat with 1/4 1/2 full given weight of 270 gallons is around 1900 lbs (10 people).
My gas gauge moves in very Very very small increments when adding 50 gallons of fuel...I needed to exactly how much fuel is aboard at all times.
Bought a NEMA 2000 starter kit and a NEMA fluid level sensor. Installed pretty easy...2 wires to gas tank sender...then connected display and power. Total cost for NEMA system $170.
Yesterday I put 100 gallons in her...my new sensor displayed on my Lowrance 10 HDS...
53% fuel %
After fishing around all day my sensor said 37.9% fuel %
So my day total was 15.1% or 40.7 gallons.
I love this capability and may add fuel flow senors to get engine specific gph/mpg
