Planning on having helm seating reupholstered on our 1998 Tiara3500 Express.
Anyone know how to remove the captains and companion seating?
Appreciate any tips/feedback on this.....
I am planning to do the same. I am having a hard time removing the helm seat and companion seat. I have a 1995 Express 4000. There are bolts that go through the seat platform but when I turn the nuts it all spins. Trying to figure out if there is a way to remove the base cushion to access the head of the bolt that secures the base of the seat. Have you had any luck figuring it out?
On my 4000 Express these are through-bolted; the nuts on the end of the bolts are accessed inside the cabinet under the seat on the port end of the helm seat, and in the cabinet/storage area on the starboard end of the helm seat that you access under the engine hatch (the door on the right with two latches). Hope this helps.

Having just done this, Harloo is correct. You can access the through bolts inside the cabinet for the bench seat. Be careful with the adjustable captain’s seat at the helm!! The previous owner of my 3500 definitely botched this. Please don’t do the same. Simply remove the bolts from two exposed brackets closest to the bow when you push the seat all the way back....then slide the seat off the two metal posts. There are four plastic brackets with a whole ina middle that slide across the posts. Good design but not clear at first glance...
