Twin Volvo diesel D6 310 hp
Hi All,
Looking for feedback on the 2004 3200 Open with twin Volvo Penta D6 310 hp engines. We are conducting a boat and engine surveys and appreciate any advice. Thanks!
I purchased a 2004 3200 Open before last season and we really like the boat, but being an older boat, I have had to address issues. Make sure you do an oil test. The first boat I contracted to buy, we back out due to metal in the oil. Most likely a bearing.
On the one we did purchase, we had to replace a number of hoses, pumps and the AC unit. The Penta engines have been running very well. The boat had less than 400 hours on the engines and between last summer and this one, we are close to adding 200 hours.
I feel the overall boat is very solid, so it all comes down to how it was treated. We love ours now that we have gotten the kinks out.
