Hello all, I am hoping to be the owner of 2000-2005 Tiara/Pursuit 3800 Open after the first of the year. I know this is a Tiara forum and the Tiara is my first choice, but that of my wife as well, but I also know they are the same company and these 2 boats look as though they use the same hull, with the difference of the transom. The Tiara seems more luxuriously finished and that's important to my wife. The boat will be used 95% for cruising and the rest fishing, so it really doesn't bother me which one, they will both do what we want and I am by no means a hard core offshore fisherman, I'm an inshore guy, but that's a whole different story! 

I know I have met some of you in other forums and even talked to you about your different boats, But I have a question about dimensions. How wide is the transom of a 3800 Open, not only at the top of the transom (gunnel) and if equipped, the swim platform?

I am installing pilings at the dock and want to make sure I get the most room that I have available. Its hard to explain, but the shape of my dock space is slightly limited and the way the boat would be tied off will dictate how far I am setting those pilings. Thats why I ask the specifics of the transom.
