Where can I purchase the curly wash down hose connections that fit the two attachment points near the transom door? I don't have the hoses or the connections to make them work. I think I can buy curly hoses at West Marine but the connection has be baffled. Looks like it would be something with an "O" ring that snaps in.

I have a 2003 38 Open and assume the ones your looking for are the same as the ones on my boat. Here's a link to what I found/purchased (may find another supplier cheaper): [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

I keep the boat 70 miles from me so it is hard to visualize the boat attachment port without being able to take a close look, so...
Which end of the connector attaches to the boat...hose thread end or the quick release end? If it is the hose threaded end why couldn't one simply get a regular quick connect with hose threads on one end and buy a curly hose from West Marine?

As you stated you could convert the existing connector to any quick disconnect system but the ones from "USPLASTIC.COM" are the replacement parts as far as I know. The hose threaded end of what you posted is threaded to a "whale" product connector to "whale" tubing internal to the boat... As a point of interest any connector you select must have an automatic shutoff when the hose is disconnected.... Hope this helps....As I have both Fresh water and salt water wash downs I needed to maintain the same connector when replacing it.

I have two of the US Plastic female connections installed on the boat now (left picture). I asked Tiara what to use with them and they said to get the one on the right from them for about $50. Seems high but I guess there is not another option
