I also posted this question on the Hull Truth forum. I bought a 1990 Tiara model 3600C flybridge and it doesn't have a windlass. I bought a Maxwell HRC-8 and installing with the help of a friend. Tiara ran power cables up to the anchor locker even though the boat didn't come with a windlass (you have to love Tiara). I figured, if they would run the power cables (big & expensive) they'd also run a spare set of control wires (small gauge & inexpensive). I search the anchor locker for a spare set of wires & did find wire that looks like speaker wire (clear & you can see the wire stands) not terminated to anything. I've been climbing around under the helm looking for a set of wires that look the same & the only ones I'm finding are terminated to something. I guess my question is, does anyone have the same boat & know what the windlass wires look like? If I can't find the wire I guess I could put the remote switches up by the windlass. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
My dock neighbor has an 88 or 89 3600 Convertible. He probably won't launch for another month, but when he does, I'll see if I can check out his wiring and snap a few photo's if possible.
