Good morning all,
I will be a new Tiara owner, although my parents had a 1998 35 open that I absolutely loved. I’m currently putting a 3900 under contract (2008). It has new pods as of 2018. Boat has been maintained thoroughly (650 hours total and 150 since new pods were installed) and is in great shape. Looking for feedback on the boat in general, but I do want someone to reply with real world experience with the pods. I love the technology, but do have concerns on dependability and overall maintenance etc. thanks in advance for your reply’s.

I will chime in, even with my limited experience I can tell you we’ve had nothing but good luck with our 2009 Sovran, As with you ,our pods were updated before we purchased the unit. We have found that the maintenance is a bit more expensive than our other boat but we absolutely love the handling characteristics and fuel mileage we get with the D6 370. We have friends in the marina that have a 43 Sovran with pods and love it as well. So I would say overall the maintenance is a bit higher with the pods but changing the oil in them is easy insurance. Best of luck and welcome to the forum.
Cheers -Donnie
