Hi all,

I appreciate the admin adding me to the group!  I'm a big believer in 'It takes a village'. 

I purchased a 3100 and have a need to carry a 9' RIB.  This model year has the attached (i.e. not integrated) swim platform.  Two questions:

1.  Does anyone have experience carrying a dinghy on this model/configuration?

2.  If so, can you share pictures and information of your installation?

I looked at the Hurley Davit system and wondered if it would be suitable (see attached pics).  Obviously, I'm open to ideas.

Hurley would work. After looking at all the options, though, we ended-up going with the system at [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]. Handles a 10’ RIB and 10hp on the back of my 40’ (with the integrated platform) just fine. I can load/unload pretty easily by myself (I sometimes pull the fuel tank separately).

Thanks so much for the information!  I’ll definitely look into that right now.  ?

I’m also curious to know if any folks with non-integrated platform have tried to install davits.  I would feel a little more comfortable if we had an integrated platform but that concern may be unfounded.
