my 2006 3600 Open has twin Cummins 5.9 QSB's with ZF 220 A transmissions. The transmissions are identical (same model and SN for some reason) so one runs in reverse when underway. I have noticed that one transmission has slightly higher running oil pressure and slightly lower oil temperature ~ 15 psi, can't recall the temp difference. Are these differences expected given that one unit is running in reverse?
I have the same setup except with CATs. It’s always been that way and the surveyors saw no issues three years ago when we bought the boat, so I’ll be curious as to responses here too.
