(This post was last modified: 04-15-2024, 04:20 PM by Mydiamond .)
My 33 open usually runs 40 - 60 psi.
Engines are crusader, gas. 454 xl
After changing the oil at the end of the season, oil pressure jumped to 80 psi.
Same type oil and filter.
Going to change oil and filter again.
Sending unit new.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

It’s not unusual for new oil to kick pressure up a bit, especially when cold. As long as it doesn’t climb any higher I would run it for a while and see if it stabilizes.

That's a pretty big jump. Try changing the filter first. Could be a mfg issue with the filter.
