Has anyone ever had to repair or place the pump on their VacuFlush system. If you try going through the seat in the aft cabin you can only reach far enough back on the tank to put your hand on the pump. If you try to go through the hatch in the cabin floor there is a bulkhead in the way. There is a small cutout in the bulkhead, but I cannot believe that is the way the intend for you to reach it.
We have a 2013 39 Sovran. A couple of years ago I was going to rebuild the pump just because it was getting to that age. I had the same reaction you did when I looked at it. How do you get it out. I decided to let the pros do that one. They took the holding tank out so they could get at the pump. Does anyone have a better solution?
I recently purchased a 2011 Sovran 3900 and have a vacuum pump that continues to run and had the same reaction. Other than removing the holding tank is there a better way to get to the pump?
I just had a meeting with the Tech at the yard. The area that needs to be accessed is directly under the staircase. The plan is to detach the pressure tank that sits on top of the holding tank. When detached they will slide it back to the opening under the aft cabin cushion.

Just checking in on your last post as we have a similar issue. Were you able to have the pressure tank detached and slid back to the opening under the cabin cushion? if so, how was it detached?

There is another 39 Sovran at our marina that went the route of sliding the tank. During winter storage the service department at our storage facility can up with an easier solution. They created an access that can be utilized when it needs to be accessed again. You will need to remove the cushion that is closest to the staircase. There are three screws on the bottom that secure the seat. The armrest is just Velcro that you can lift off. That will open up the area to create access. It will require some cutting but our yard did a great job making it able to reassemble and unscrew again when you need to service again. I will post a send a picture. 2 hours ago" />2 hours ago" />
