Your post was made sometime ago and I hope you have found your next boat!

I have a 1991 Tiara 33 open that will need re powering soon. Your ad stated new ones at 40 hrs. And I was wondering just who did this for you and the cost. Where you able to locate new Mercruisers or are they rebuilds.

Thanks for your help as this decision for a non mechanic is getting stressful!!

Yes I sold boat. I purchased two Mercruiser reman. engines coast approx. $3,500, two new carb. $650. odds and end total about $8,500. in parts.
Engines came out and went in with a fork lift, quickly and no issue.
The re-man. long blocks from Mercruiser are built in their factory like new.
I did the work myself with the assistance of my nephew who is a certified Mercruiser machanic. total job took us approx. 20 hours. not that big a job, just moving parts from old engines to new.
